Returning on March 24th 2011 at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, SIE’s Student Enterprise Summit features five inspirational entrepreneurs presenting their real life business stories and sharing with you their insights into what makes an entrepreneur. Their aim: to ignite in you the same passion that got them started on the path to becoming an entrepreneur.

The summit is a unique opportunity to learn from their experiences and apply that learning in your own entrepreneurial journey. This could be inspiring you to come up with a new business idea, or giving you the confidence to expand an existing idea into a business plan.

Even if you don’t have immediate plans to set up a new business, you’ll still benefit from hearing what it means to be enterprising and why this skill is so valued by graduate recruiters. A panel of young entrepreneurs will also be discussing what it takes to be a young entrepreneur and sharing their experiences with you.

Attendees will gain:

*Insight into what makes an entrepreneur at all stages of a business venture and why it is an ongoing state of mind.
* A better understanding of the key skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur and how these can be acquired through experience and training.
* Inside knowledge of the trends influencing the opportunities in some of Scotland’s key business sectors including retail, media and design, technology and social enterprise.
* A great opportunity to network with senior business people and likeminded entrepreneurs.
